Financial Domination
You’ve found yourself on a New York City Dominatrix’s website, seeking out info on financial Domination. How did you end up here? Did it begin as a morbid curiosity, where you couldn’t possibly fathom what submissives “get” out of financial domination? Or did you hear about findom in passing, and immediately recognize it as something you desire? Have you been following Me for a while, and finally gained the courage to dive in? Regardless, you didn’t arrive here by chance – this is where you are meant to be.
To begin, you must start at the beginning.
Where did “findom” come from?
Financial domination has a long history, like most kinks. While we may not know their names, there have certainly been Dominants throughout history who had submissive partners who sacrificed for them financially, but what we know today as “findom” largely has its origins in the expanding B.D.S.M. scene of the 90s. At that point, it was more commonly referred to as money slavery. Undoubtedly, there were several Money Dommes (as they were known at the time), and no one person solely invented the idea of financial domination. That being said, there are some specific Dommes who significantly impacted the creation of what we know as findom today. Princess Sierra / Bitchy Beauty was one of the first to gain significant success doing Financial Domination in the early 2000s, and if ever you’re curious to see glimpses of the early days of Financial Domination, Her blog acts as an excellent archive of that time period. Also in the early 2000s, other skilled Dommes like Princess Jersey began to gain notoriety within the kink, and findom continued to spread throughout the internet, and to a lesser extent, the Dungeons. I have seen several people claim to be the “invent” findom, but from what I have found in My research, I believe that Diamond Diva Princess is most commonly credited as being the creator of the term. As the popularity of financial domination grew throughout the 2000s and 2010s, more and more began to develop an interest in the kink, both Dominants and submissives alike, and all helped to grow the world of findom into what it is today.
So, what exactly IS findom today?
As findom has grown in popularity and notoriety, there is a rapidly growing interest in the kink, and just as many opinions on it. Despite this, there is often still a lack of understanding from the general public about how financial domination works and what, exactly, it is. The truth is, it can be a myriad of things. Financial Domination at its core revolves around submissives choosing to serve their Dommes through money, but what does that look like in practice? For some dynamics, it looks like ceding complete control of their finances entirely to their Domme – having all paychecks go instantly to Me, living under a budget I have designated, and only being able to spend according to My instructions. For others, it looks like having a set amount, oftentimes a percentage of their income, that is automatically sent to their Me every time they are paid, solely to please Me. In other circumstances, it can look like “drain” sessions, wherein I command a sub to send to Me, over and over again, until the session ends. A drain can be, and often is, the entirety of the session, but just as often a findom drain happens alongside other kinks, such as degradation/humiliation, sph, cbt, body worship, et cetera. Findom can also look like one-off significant Tributes, sending $1000 or more, all at once, just for the thrill of the sacrifice and the pleasure you know it will bring Me. Other forms of findom may look like adopting a bill (for instance, paying My rent each month, or covering the cost of My beauty services, et cetera), engaging in Cash Meets, reimbursing My meals and dates, paying for My shopping sprees, being required to send before being permitted to orgasm, signing up for a Debt Contract, or playing evil little financial games of My design (such as Retweet Games where My followers drive up the amount you are required to send, or truth or dare style games where you must send a specific amount or endure some torment I’ve cooked up).
What drives people to want to engage in financial domination?
As with any kink, the motivation varies person to person. Desire is an incredibly individual thing, and it often never looks the same for two different people. That being said, no one exists in a vacuum. We exist in a capitalistic and patriarchal society, and those things influence the formation of fetishes. For many, financial domination is erotic because it subverts the power balances that exist within our society. For submissive men who have painted themselves into a corner of toxic masculinity, it can be exhilarating to relinquish control and submit fully to an intoxicating Dominant woman like Myself. For submissive women, it can feel salacious to submit to another Woman, instead of cowing to the supposed “male superiority” that so many facets of our society try to push. For some, there is no deeper meaning, they just find it hot as hell to shower a gorgeous Woman in cash. For others, it truly is all about making your Domme’s life better, because after all, why should I have to spend any of MY money when y(ours) exists? Some submissives enjoy the ability to relinquish the stress of being “in charge” – in My experience this is especially true for subs who are in high stress careers, positions of power, who are the sole breadwinner for their household, or who are generally upholding the more toxic aspects of toxic masculinity, because they find themselves desperately seeking a space where they can just let go and let someone else take charge – so sessions with Me provide that much needed space to surrender fully.
For Me personally, findom is one of My favorite styles of service from My subs, because it is a very real, concrete, tangible form of sacrifice. Money is not just a “thing”, it represents so much more than that. When you sacrifice, for example, $500 to Me, it isn’t just the hundred bucks you’ve given up. You have given up so much more – the time you spent working to earn that money, very real minutes and hours of your life, finite moments, that you can never get back. It’s also the potential – that $500 represents so many things you could’ve had, all the infinite possibilities, things you could’ve bought, dates you could’ve gone on, trips you could’ve taken, investments you could’ve made, et cetera. By sending that $500 to Me instead, you have not just given up the simple su, you have given up all of these other deeper things as well, and for Me as a Domme, that can be much more erotic and meaningful and exhilarating than other acts of servitude.
If you’ve read this far, you are certainly in too deep to turn back now. Your next step is to send your first Tribute to Me, and begin to experience the bliss of My financial domination for yourself. Welcome to your new reality.
